Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris born October 20th, 1964) is an American politician and lawyer who is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is also the first female vice president and the highest ranking female official of the United American. She is a member of Congress and a former US senator who represents California. Harris was born in Oakland. Harris received her law degree from Howard University. Following her first job as an Alameda County District Attorney Harris was enlisted to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. Later she became the City Attorney of San Francisco. In 2003 she was appointed district attorney of San Francisco. She was elected Attorney General of California in 2010, and then she was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Martinez in 2016's Senate election to become the 2nd African American woman and first South Asian American senator to be elected to the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who advocated for healthcare and federal de-scheduling cannabis. A pathway towards citizenship for migrants who aren't legal. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. Her sharp questioning of Trump officials in Senate hearings earned her national attention, including the second Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh who was indicted with sexual assault.
